Azienda Agricola Regazzano is a small family-run business.
It's designed with the idea to realise a dream, revising the land conditions that our ancestors cultivated and loved for so many years.
It all began in 90's when we started restoring land not cultivated for years, for this purpose we have taken numerous recovery actions and we decided to convert this land to organic farming.
Our land, has been used for more than a century for viniculture and olive trees cultivation, it is located in Grotte di Castro on the border between Umbria and Tuscany regions, to a handful of miles from Bolsena Lake.
Our land of volcanic origin is rich in mineral salts, thanks to its location and sun exposure it is the ideal for the olive trees cultivation, a culture method already known in the Etruscan times that was handed down from expert farmers from one generation to another through particular harvesting and extraction techniques still used today.
During the year 2000 we decided to increase the number of olive trees and therefore we added new plants on 600 centennial trees already present on our land to ensure that the same varieties are mantained.
In our land there are currently 3.000 plants treated using only natural or organic systems avoiding chemicals and pesticides use.
ONLY CONSERVING AND IMPROVING THE VARIETAL HERITAGE OF A DETERMINED AREA WE CAN PRESERVE SPECIFIC OLIVE OIL CHARACTERISTICS.
